1632 - 1653 Y.T.M. Tuanku Muhammad Hisam ud-din Dalik Khan [Lebai Hitam], Sri Paduka Khoja Pahlawan, Yang di-Pertuan of Aru. b. in Pasai, ca. 1590, son of Pocut Raja Burhan ud-din Darawi Akbar. Entered the service of the Sultan of Aceh and appointed to command his naval forces in the rank of Laksamana Khoja Bintan. Appointed as his Wakil of Aru with the title of Sri Paduka Khoja Pahlawan, 1630. Having received Perchut and Labuhan in dowry after his second marriage, he expanded his territories further by annexing Gunung Klarus, Sempali, Kota Bangun, Pulau Barayan, Kota Jawa, and Kota Rengas. Elected as Datuk Sunggal and Ulon Janji by the four Karo Urung Rajas. m. (first) at Aceh (div. there ca. 1629), Y.A.M. Putri Khair ul-Baria binti al-Marhum Sultan 'Abdu'l-Kadir 'Ala'uddin Shah, younger daughter of Y.T.M. Paduka Sri Sultan Tuanku 'Abdu'l-Kadir 'Ala'uddin Shah ibni al-Marhum Sultan Zainal-Abidin Shah, Sultan of Pahang. m. (second) 1632, Y.M. Putri Nang Baluan Beru Surbakti, younger sister of Datuk Hitam Surbakti, Raja Urung of Sunggal. He d. 1653 (bur. Batu Jergok, Old Deli), having had issue, by his second wife:

1653 - 1698 Y.T.M. Tuanku Panglima Parunggit [Kejeruan Padang] ibni al-Marhum Tuanku Muhammad Hisam ud-din Dalik Khan, Panglima of Deli. b. 1634, only recorded son of Y.T.M. Tuanku Muhammad Hisam ud-din Dalik Khan, Sri Paduka Khoja Pahlawan, Yang di-Pertuan of Aru. Succeeded on the death of his father as Panglima of Deli, 1669. Made himself independent of Aceh in 1669 and established relations with the Dutch at Malacca and Batavia. Removed his capital to Medan Kesawan. m. the younger sister of the Datuk of Suka Piring. He d. 1698, having had issue, two sons:
1) Y.T.M. Tuanku Panglima Paderap [Pidali] ibni al-Marhum Tuanku Panglima Parunggit, Amir of Deli - see below.
2) Y.T.M. Tuanku Panglima Pasutan ibni al-Marhum Tuanku Panglima Parunggit, Yang di-Pertuan of Aru. Usurped control over Aru on the death of his father, and expelled his elder brother, 1698. He d. 1761.
1698 - 1728 Y.T.M. Tuanku Panglima Paderap [Pidali] ibni al-Marhum Tuanku Panglima Parunggit, Amir of Deli. b. at Aru, 1654, son of Y.T.M. Tuanku Panglima Parunggit [Kejeruan Padang], Panglima of Deli. Expelled from Aru by his brother, 1698. Removed his capital to Berayan island, where he established a new state. Assumed the title of Amir of Deli. m. several wives, including Tuanku Ampuan Sampali, the only Royal wife. He d. on Berayan island, 1728, having had issue, four sons:

4) Y.M. Tengku Tawar Arifin ibni al-Marhum Tuanku Panglima Paderap (s/o Tuanku Ampuan Sampali), of Kejeruan Santun. Expelled with his brother Umar and settled in Serdang, ca. 1728. He had issue, three sons:
a) Y.M. Tengku Mat Shaikh bin Tengku Tawar Arifin, of Surbajadi. He had issue, four sons:
i) Y.M. Tengku Radin Inu bin Tengku Mat Shaikh, Raja of Pulau Berayan (in 1823). m. Firman Shahifah, of Serdang. He had issue, two sons:
(1) Y.M. Tengku Timbang Lawan bin Tengku Radin Inu, of Surbajadi (from. 1860). He d. 1870, having had issue, two sons:
(a) Y.M. Tengku Ismail bin Tengku Timbang Lawan [Tengku Muhammad Mat Solan], Tengku Panglima Serdang.
(b) Y.M. Tengku Muhammad Bastr bin Tengku Timbang Lawan.

b) Y.M. Tengku Ja'afar bin Tengku Tawar Arifin, Raja Graha, of Danai. He had issue, four sons:
i) Y.M. Tengku Tunggal bin Tengku Ja'afar, Sutan Bagus, of Durian. He had issue, a son:
(1) Y.M. Tengku Mahmud bin Tengku Tunggal, 6th Raja Graha, of Danai (succ. 1887). Served in the Selangor civil war 1877-1878. He d. 1906, having had issue, two sons:
(a) Y.M. Tengku Ariffin bin Tengku Mahmud.
(b) Y.M. Tengku Sulaiman bin Tengku Mahmud, 7th Raja Graha, of Danai (succ. 1906). He d. 1919. s
ii) Y.M. Tengku Mandia Kaya al-Wasafi Billah bin Tengku Ja'afar, Raja Graha, of Danai. He had issue, three sons:
(1) Y.M. Tengku Yar ud-din [Jaudin] bin Tengku Mandia Kaya al-Wasafi Billah, 4th Raja Graha, of Danai. Sometime Raja Muda Graha. He d. 1886, having had issue, a son:
(a) Y.M. Sutan Ibrahim bin Tengku Yar ud-din, 5th Raja Graha, of Danai (succ. 1886). He d. 1887.
(2) Y.M. Tengku Andon bin Tengku Mandia Kaya al-Wasafi Billah.
(3) Y.M. Tengku Mandak bin Tengku Mandia Kaya al-Wasafi Billah. He had issue, a son:

Seized the throne on the death of his father, and expelled his younger brothers, 1728. m. a lady from XII Kuta Hamparan Perak. He d. at Labuhan Deli, 1761 (bur. there at the Masjid Raya), having had issue, four sons and one daughter:

Sri Paduka Tuanku Sultan Panglima 'Amal ud-din I Mangedar 'Alam ibni al-Marhum Tuanku Panglima Gandar Wahid, Sultan of Deli, second son of Tengku Panglima Gandar Wahid bin Tuanku Panglima Paderap, Amir of Deli. Succeeded on the death of his father as Tuanku Panglima 'Amal ud-din, 1761. Raised to the title of Sultan Panglima Mangedar 'Alam by the Sultan of Siak, 18th March 1814. m. before 1823, a daughter of Y.A.M. Raja Hitam ibni al-Marhum Sutan Bendahara Raja Badi uz-Zaman [Kejeruan Tua], Raja of Langkat. He d. at Labuhan Deli, 18th March 1824 (bur. there at the Masjid Raya), having had issue, an only surviving son and daughter:

1824 - 1857 H.H. Sri Paduka Tuanku Sultan Panglima Usman Perkasa 'Alam Shah ibni al-Marhum Sultan 'Amal ud-din Panglima Mangedar 'Alam [Marhum Masjid], Sultan of Deli. b. at Labuhan 1809, son of H.H. Sultan 'Amal ud-din I Panglima Mangedar 'Alam ibni al-Marhum Tengku Panglima Gandar Wahid, Sultan of Deli, educ. privately. Appointed as Heir Apparent and deputy ruler with the title of Sultan Muda Panglima Perkasa 'Alam before 1823. Succeeded on the death of his father, 18th March 1824. Defeated by the Sultan of Aceh, becoming his vassal and local representative, with office of Wakil Sultan Aceh, 1854. Entered into a contract with the Dutch, who recognised the independence of the sultanate from both Aceh and Siak, 22nd August 1862. Thereafter recognised as Sri Paduka Tuanku Sultan Panglima Usman Perkasa 'Alam Shah with the style of His Highness. m. (second) 1852, H.H. Raja Siti Asmah binti Raja Muhammad 'Ali Shah, Tengku Maha Suri Raja, daughter of H.H. 2) Y.A.M. Tengku Sulaiman ibni al-Marhum Sultan Usman Perkasa 'Alam Shah, Raja Muda (cre. 1861). Appointed as Regent for his nephew, 25th October 1873. He d. at Labuhan Deli, 1895, having had issue:
a) H.H. Tengku Alautiah binti Raja Muda Tengku Sulaiman. Installed at Tanjung Pura, as Tengku Permaisuri and granted the style of Her Highness, 23rd May 1894. m. 1892, as his first wife, H.H. Sri Paduka Tuanku Sultan 'Abdu'l 'Aziz 'Abdu'l Jalil Rahmad Shah ibni al-Marhum Sultan Haji Musa al-Khalid al-Mu'azzam Shah, Sultan of Langkat (b. 9th May 1878; d. at Kota Dalam, 1st July 1927), son of H.H. Paduka Sri Sultan Haji Musa al-Khalid al-Mu'azzam Shah ibni al-Marhum Sultan Ahmad, Sultan of Langkat, by his wife, H.H. Tengku Meshaurah binti Tengku Besar, Tengku Permaisuri. 3) Y.A.M. Tengku Ismailiyah al-Haj ibni al-Marhum Sultan Usman Perkasa 'Alam Shah [Tengku Sulung Laut], Tengku Pangeran Nara. b. at Asahan, 14th May 1851 (s/o Tengku Raja Siti), educ. privately. Previously styled Pangeran Kelana Raja. Received Badagai as his apange. m. (first) before January 1868, Y.A.M. Tengku Kechil Ajis [Malika] binti al-Marhum Sultan Muhammad Husain Rahmad Shah, daughter of H.H. Sri Paduka Tuanku Sultan Muhammad Husain Rahmad Shah I ibni al-Marhum Raja Musa Shah, Sultan of Asahan, by his first wife, H.H. Tengku Sulung, eldest daughter of Y.M. Tengku Sutan Tua, of Panai. m. Installed as Tengku Permaisuri at the Istana Kota Raja Indra Sakti, Tanjung Balai, and granted the style of Her Highness 17th June 1933. m. at the Istana Kota Raja Indra Sakti, Tanjung Balai, 17th June 1933, H.H. Sri Paduka Tuanku Sultan Sha'ibun 'Abdu'l Jalil Rahmad Shah III ibnu al-Marhum Sultan Muhammad Husain, Sultan and Yang di-Pertuan Besar of Asahan (b. at Tanjung Balai, 5th October 1906; d. 6th April 1980), son of H.H. Sri Paduka Tuanku Sultan Muhammad Husain Rahmad Shah II ibni al-Marhum Tengku Muhammad 'Adil, Sultan and Yang di-Pertuan of Asahan, by his by his wife, H.H. ii) Y.M. Tengku Ijjah binti al-Marhum Tengku Rahmad. m. Y.M. Tengku Dollah bin Tengku Alang Yahya, youngest son of Y.A.M. Tengku Alang Yahya bin Tengku Muhammad 'Adil, Sri Paduka Tengku Regent, of Asahan, by his second wife, Y.M. Tengku Biong binti Tengku Alam Shah, daughter of Y.M. Tengku Alam Shah, Raja of Kisaran. She had issue, one son and one daughter - see Indonesia (Asahan).
b) Y.M. Tengku Mukhtar bin Tengku Ismail al-Haj. He had issue, a son and a daughter:
i) Y.M. Tengku Ahmad Jalil bin Tengku Mukhtar. Adopted by his aunt, Tengku Iluk and her husband, Tengku Musa.
i) A daughter. m. as his second wife, Y.M. Tengku Johan Arifin bin Tengku Hafas, eldest son of her uncle, Y.M. Tengku Hafas bin Tengku Ismail al-Haj, Tengku Pangeran, by his wife, Y.M. Tengku Uan Mahanun, daughter of Y.T.M. Tuanku Sutan Bidar Alam Shah III, Raja of Bila. She had issue, seven children - see below.
c) Y.M. Tengku Hafas bin Tengku Ismail al-Haj, Tengku Pangeran. b. at Tanjung Bringin, Bedagai, 24th March 1895 (s/o Inche' Maimuna), educ. Wakil of Bedagai 1932-1943, Pangeran of Langkat Hilir 1943-1945, Dir. of the Cabinet to the Wali Negara of East Sumatra 1949-1950. m. Y.M. Tengku Uan Mahamun (b. at Billah, 1891; d. at Medan, Sumatra, 29th June 1961), daughter of Y.T.M. Tuanku Sutan Bidar Alam Shah III, Raja of Bila. He d. after 1961, having had issue, at least two sons:
i) Y.M. Tengku Johan Arifin bin Tengku Hafas (s/o Tengku Uan Mahanun). m. (first) a lady of Dutch-Indonesia extraction, who d. at an early age from tuberculosis. m. (second) a daughter of his uncle, Y.M. Tengku Mukhtar bin Tengku Ismail al-Haj. He had issue, three sons and five daughters: s

* The date of the marriage given here is the one stated in a published newspaper interview with Hajjah Siska Mara Bintang. The same interview gives the date of birth for her elder son as 29th August 1998. The dates for the marriage vary in range between 1996 and 1999, according to different sources in Deli, Jakarta and Makassar.
